my own place, well, actually my mortgage company will be, subject to survey and valuation. So yeah any of you who know me well will know I have been hunting for a while and trying to get a feel for the market, so this is really good news and frees up my Sunday’s now (woo!).
So anyway, what have I oh-so-foolishly crippled myself buying? Its a 2 bedroom ground floor flat on Shandon Place in really good decorative order (although I might repaint as it isn’t all to my taste). There isn’t much in the way of storage space so it will be quite tight, but apart from my bikes I don’t really have all that much stuff, and I reckon I can sort out some ninja bike racks to get them out the way.
Move in date will be in mid February, and I suspect I might have a small party to celebrate - no promises though!

Congrats! Flat looks really nice - looking forward to the party.

Well done Sandy and a closer neighbour.
Looks a good place but now you will be busting to get in.
I’ve still got stuff from when I moved in last year that might get you started plus plenty of flat pack boxes.
I would expect you to ask for a hand at some point of your move as brill to enjoy when folk are around at such a great moment plus you can nip over to my place when you cant find the kettle, a plate or a chair-I remember it well sitting in an empty lounge on the floor.
Loads of stuff I did as part of the move that made it all go clockwork including the day choice, removers, cleaners, making the most of the place when empty etc etc

I don’t really have all that much stuff, its mainly clothes and bike stuff. However its all the day-to-day stuff I need to get like cooking utensils, ironing boards … etc
Also the white goods are going, so I need to get a new cooker and fridge (maybe also a dishwasher?), plus all the furniture etc. Currently got vague plans to get most of this stuff second hand and borrow a van from someone.
